Party Boat Rental on Lake Lewisville

⭐ Veteran-Owned | USCG Master Captain | 30+ Years Experience

Planning a party boat charter on Lake Lewisville? The biggest decision is whether to captain the boat yourself or have a USCG-licensed professional handle navigation while your group focuses on the party. Mutineers Charter Services runs fully captained party boat charters for groups of 8 to 50 guests — launching from Arrowhead Park in Hickory Creek, 25 minutes north of Dallas. Unlike most Lake Lewisville boat rentals that offer small pontoons or require a designated driver, every Mutineers charter includes a Master Captain, crew, premium sound system, and swim deck access on most vessels. Veteran-owned and serving the entire DFW metro.

What's Included on Every Party Boat Charter

Every party boat rental with Mutineers Charter Services includes a USCG-licensed captain and crew - your group enjoys the water while our team handles navigation, safety, and docking. No one in your party needs boating experience or a license. Charter time includes loading and unloading of the vessel.

USCG Master Captain and crew — on board for the full duration, managing the vessel and coordinating your group’s requests

Premium Bluetooth sound system — connect any device and control the playlist through outdoor speakers across the main deck and swim platform

Swim deck access (most vessels) — your captain anchors in a cove, drops the ladder, and guests swim and reboard directly from the water. Some swim toys are provided, lily pads and swim noodles are standard; paddle boards may be available

BYOB policy (restrictions apply) — bring your own beer, wine, champagne, food, and ice. Mutineers does not provide ice or towels, guests bring their own. Restrictions: no red drinks (red wine, fruit punch), no dishes containing rice, no high heels on deck

Safety equipment — standard life jackets provided for every guest, including standard children’s sizes. If you require above-XXL or very small child sizes, bring your own Coast Guard–approved life jacket

Onboard coolers and gas grill — coolers provided for your beverages (ice not included, bring your own). Gas grills available on board for cookout-style charters

How a Party Boat Charter Works

Booking a party boat on Lake Lewisville takes three steps — call or text, confirm your details, and show up at the dock.
1
Step 1

Choose your vessel and date. Call (214) 277-9102 or text (903) 413-5431 to check availability. Tell us your group size, preferred date, and any occasion details. We match you to the right vessel based on guest count and party type.

2
Step 2

Confirm and deposit. A 50% deposit secures your reservation (non-refundable). Remaining balance is due 15 days before your charter date. Payment accepted via Zelle, CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, ACH transfer, or credit card. A $300 cash damage deposit is paid to your captain upon boarding and returned if no damage or cleaning issues.

3
Step 3

Board at Arrowhead Park. Meet your USCG-licensed captain at our dock in Hickory Creek, TX. Bring your own food, drinks, ice, and decorations — a 10-minute dock load time is included. Crew assists with decoration setup during the charter. Charter time includes loading and unloading of the vessel. Your captain handles everything from there.

Parking: Arrowhead Park, Leg 1, Hickory Creek charges $5 per vehicle per day. Payment by debit or credit card only — no cash or checks accepted.

Choose Your Party Boat

Mutineers Charter Services operates four captained vessels on Lake Lewisville, each suited to different group sizes and party styles. Three are purpose-equipped for large group events with swim decks and premium sound — not repurposed fishing boats or bare-deck pontoons. A fourth, the Delta, serves smaller groups at a lower price point.

Gypsy Danger (MAX 50 CAPACITY)

The largest captained party vessel on Lake Lewisville. Features an upper-deck dance floor, outdoor BBQ area, gas grill, and full swim platform with lily pads and swim noodles. Groups spread across two deck levels with the sound system running through outdoor speakers on both. Built for large celebrations where guest count and energy matter — bachelor/bachelorette parties, milestone birthdays, and corporate outings. Weekday charters start at $2,268 for 4 hours.

Captained Charter vs Self-Drive Rental

Whiskey Danger (MAX 30 CAPACITY)

A mid-size yacht with enclosed A/C cabin, open deck space, premium sound, and a swim deck. Handles groups that want a full party atmosphere without filling a 50-person vessel. Most popular mid-range option. Ideal for birthday groups, team outings, and holiday gatherings. Weekday charters start at $1,868 for 4 hours.

Captained Charter vs Self-Drive Rental

Stranger Danger (MAX 24 CAPACITY)

Custom party deck with full sound system, BYOB-friendly layout, and easy swim access from a rear platform. Groups of 15–24 get a private-feeling charter without paying for unused capacity. Works well for intimate celebrations, friend-group outings, and sunset party cruises. Weekday charters start at $1,268 for 4 hours.

Captained Charter vs Self-Drive Rental

Delta (MAX 8 CAPACITY)

The smallest and most affordable vessel in the fleet. Accommodates up to 8 guests for intimate group outings, casual lake cruises, and small private celebrations. Does not include a swim deck, but towed and dragged floats are included in the charter price. Ideal when you want a captained experience for a smaller group without booking a full-size party vessel. Weekday charters start at $568 for 4 hours.

Captained Charter vs Self-Drive Rental

All four vessels are available at weekday and weekend rates with a 4-hour minimum charter. For full session pricing by vessel, see Charter Pricing and Packages.

Party Cove & Popular Party Routes on Lake Lewisville

Party Cove is the most requested destination for party boat charters on Lake Lewisville — a sheltered inlet on the lake’s eastern shore where dozens of boats raft together on weekends from May through September. Your captain navigates directly to the cove, positions the vessel among the flotilla, and your group joins the floating social scene without renting a slip or finding your own way in. Most groups anchor for 60–90 minutes — long enough to swim between boats, socialize, and take in the atmosphere before the captain pulls out for open-water cruising.

Beyond Party Cove, captains run routes along the dam, through open-water cruising lanes, and into quieter coves for dedicated swimming stops. A typical 4-hour party charter splits time between a cruising loop with the sound system running and an anchored swim-and-socialize stop. Your captain adjusts the route based on weather, wind direction, and your group’s preferences — high-energy groups spend more time at the Cove, while family events often prefer a cove swim stop and scenic shoreline route.

For deeper coverage of cove locations, lake rules, and seasonal conditions, see Party Cove details in our guide.

Why Mutineers for Your Yacht Charter

Peak Season Note: Most weekend party boat charters book 3–4 weeks in advance between May and September. Weekday charters are easier to book on shorter notice and include lower rates.

Safety & Licensing on Lake Lewisville

Not every charter operation on Lake Lewisville is licensed or inspected. Unlicensed operators are not regulated by the Coast Guard Auxiliary or Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and they may lack proper safety equipment, commercial insurance, and required licensing. Incidents involving unregulated vessels have been documented on the lake, including injuries.

Mutineers Charter Services is USCG-licensed, TPWD safety-inspected, commercially insured, and veteran-owned. Every vessel meets Coast Guard standards for safety equipment, fire suppression, and passenger capacity. Every charter is led by a USCG Master Captain with 30+ years of professional maritime experience. Before booking any charter on Lake Lewisville, confirm the operator is licensed and insured.

Weather & Cancellation Policy

Charters proceed if water conditions are safe — canceling because of your personal assessment of the weather does not automatically qualify for a refund. Texas weather is unpredictable; rain and sunshine can alternate throughout a single day, and foul weather is an understood risk of outdoor experiences on the lake.

Unless the Coast Guard issues an advisory or prohibits watercraft, any weather-based cancellation refund requires owner approval. Rescheduling is attempted within reason, but weekend dates are typically booked 3–4 weeks out.

If the owner cancels due to unsafe conditions and the guest also wants to cancel day-of (approved by the Fleet Commander): a minimum service fee applies, with the remainder offered as a refund or rescheduled date. The service fee covers prep work and staff costs already incurred.

For full booking and cancellation terms, see our frequently asked questions.
